Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Administrator to administer Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, storage and network infrastructure. You will manage VMware vSphere/ESXi and Hyper-V, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and identity management while ensuring system health and high availability.
The role requires 4+ years in enterprise IT, strong scripting (PowerShell/Bash), and expertise in backup, disaster recovery, and security hardening.

Administer, maintain, and support Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and network infrastructure.
Manage and maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, Microsoft Hyper-V, or equivalent virtualization platforms.
Administer Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, certificate services, and identity management.
Monitor system health, infrastructure performance, storage utilization, network availability, and application services using enterprise monitoring and logging tools.
Perform server and infrastructure installation, configuration, upgrades, migration, maintenance, and decommissioning.
Plan and maintain backup, restore, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability solutions, including regular recovery testing.
Perform OS patching, firmware upgrades, security updates, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues involving operating systems, virtualization, storage, networking, and applications, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Support infrastructure deployment, migration, upgrades, cloud integration, and technology refresh projects.
Work closely with Project Managers, Software Development, Application Support, Database, QA teams, vendors, and customers to support project implementation and production operations.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, installation guides, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and disaster recovery documentation.
Ensure infrastructure complies with IT governance, security policies, change management processes, audit requirements, and operational standards.
Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to enhance performance, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support and participate in on-call or standby support when required.
Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to junior team members.

Diploma/Higher Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in System Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, or System Engineering within an enterprise environment.
Strong experience in administering Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, routing, switching, and firewall concepts.
Strong experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Services, and Identity Management.
Experience with enterprise storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, RAID, storage replication, and backup solutions.
Strong knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability.
Practical experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Shell scripting for automation and system administration.
Experience in OS hardening, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure security.
Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools for performance monitoring, capacity planning, and proactive incident detection.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
Good communication, documentation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Willing to travel overseas and provide on-site support when required.
Experience administering IIS, Apache, or Nginx web servers.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other database platforms from a system administration perspective.
Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud technologies.
Experience in enterprise infrastructure security, high availability, and large-scale infrastructure environments.
