Job summary

MCSB Group in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking an IT Support Specialist to assist the project manager and team with IT services, hardware setup, and maintenance.

You will manage SAP purchase requests and invoicing in IT and procurement, coordinate with vendors for quotations and installations, control inventory, support end users and management, and help with meeting room AV and software updates. Diploma in CS/IS required; 1 year in a production IT role is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Computer Science/ Information System is required.
• 1 year working experience in support factory production environment.
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking (LAN/WAN).
• Strong hardware and software assembly, upgrades, repairs, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
• Able to troubleshoot PCs and laptops on various Windows versions.
• Able to work independently and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Support project manager and team in IT services, improvement plans, and miscellaneous tasks.

• Resolve IT requests, manage system access, and coordinate operations for end users and management.
• Setup, install, troubleshoot and support IT hardware (PCs, printers, barcode devices, AV equipment).
• Setup and support company PDA, tablets, and mobile phones; maintain software configurations.
• Meetings room AV setup and support (projectors, conference equipment).
• Develop and maintain installation/configuration procedures and document standard processes.

Job description

• To help project manager overseen the team in support, improvement plan and other miscellaneous.

• SAP – purchase request and shopping cart support, invoice delivery within IT, procurement, requesters and vendors.

• Coordination with vendor for quotations, new IT purchase requisitions, IT hardware discussion, arrival, collection and installation.

• Inventory control and asset management for hardware and software.

• To follow up, resolve with technical support, IT related requests, reporting, system access, and operation coordination on end users and top management.

• Setup, install troubleshoot and support IT hardware including but not limited to PC/laptop, thin client, printer (barcode/LaserJet/photocopier), barcode scanner, desk phone, and interactive display.

• Setup, install and support company PDA, tablet, and mobile phones.

• Setup, install, update, troubleshoot and support IT software.

• Meeting room setup and support, including projector, Audio Visual (AV) conference equipment.

• Managing apps/ software volume & professional license etc.

• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.

• Help on other IT matters as and when requested by superiors.

Requirements:-

• Certificate/Diploma in Computer Science/ Information System.

• 1 years working experience in support factory production environment

• Good knowledge in basic configuration about TCP/IP networking (LAN/WAN)

• Possess good hardware and software assembly, upgrades, repairs, troubleshooting and resolution skills.

• Able to troubleshoot PCs and laptops that runs under various version of Windows OS

• Performing tests and evaluations on new software and hardware.

• Able to work independently

• Must be team player.
