We are seeking a motivated IT Specialist to support the day-to-day technology needs of our organization, including desktop support, systems administration, and network maintenance. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in IT support and infrastructure, with experience in the FPGA or semiconductor industry considered a strong plus, as this role will occasionally support engineering teams whose workflows involve specialized design tools and lab equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1/2 technical support for end users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory / Microsoft 365 (or equivalent)
- Support and maintain local network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, and basic firewall configuration
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware provisioning and account setup
- Monitor system performance and help maintain servers, backups, and basic virtualization environments
- Support software installations, updates, and license management, including engineering or design tools where applicable
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and support tickets
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or vendors as needed
- Assist with basic IT security practices, including patching, endpoint protection, and access reviews
- Support conference rooms, A/V equipment, and general office technology
- May need to provide virtual support to other APAC regions and offices
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in information technology or technical support
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or Mac OS environments
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or similar user/account management tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset when working with end users
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing IT support within the FPGA, ASIC, or broader semiconductor industry
- Exposure to lab or manufacturing environments and their unique IT/equipment needs
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar)
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, Zendesk)
