Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an IT Infrastructure professional to maintain and support our on-premises and cloud environments, with emphasis on Azure/AKS, virtual servers, and storage systems.

You will handle network administration, security and backups, end-user device management, and vendor coordination. The role also involves planning upgrades, automation, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure reliability and security across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on IT infrastructure management experience.
• Any hands-on Azure environment setup and maintenance is a plus.
• Proficient in virtualization and hybrid cloud management across Windows and Linux.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN.
• Scripting abilities in PowerShell; Python is a plus.
• Fluent in Malay and English; Mandarin is an advantage for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Systems Management: maintain, support, troubleshoot and monitor servers, storage, and DCs across on-premises and cloud (Azure/AKS).
• Network Administration: configure and monitor LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi, firewalls, switches, routers, and VPN security with high availability.
• Security & Backup: manage firewalls, WAF, DDoS protection, endpoint protection, SIEM, backups and disaster recovery tests.
• End point management: manage end-user devices and document procedures.
• Vendor Management: liaise with vendors for support, quotations, designs and compliance.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network incidents.
• Optimization & Projects: plan hardware lifecycles, system upgrades, and automation tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Systems Management: Maintain, support/ troubleshoot and monitor servers, virtual environments, storage arrays (SAN/ NAS/ etc), DC/ Server room, user access management and operating systems across on-premise and cloud platforms especially Azure/ AKS.
• Network Administration: Configure and monitor LAN/WAN/ Wifi connectivity, firewalls, switches, routers, and VPN security including but not limited to ensuring HA, failover, load balancing, segmentation, failover, performance monitoring and capacity management.
• Security & Backup: Configure, manage, support and assist with firewalls, WAF, DDoS protection, Endpoint protection, SIEM, etc and backups including restoration, tests and disaster recovery activities.
• End point management: Management of end user devices (eg. laptops and others) including training and documentation where necessary.
• Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors for consultation, solution, technical support and resolution including asset refresh, quotations, solution designs and compliance.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve escalated hardware, software, and network downtime incidents.
• Optimization & Projects: Plan hardware lifecycles, lead system upgrades, and automate administrative and repetitious tasks.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure management as above.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in Azure environment setup and maintenance will be an added advantage.
• Technical Skills: Management of virtualization, hybrid cloud management (especially in Azure) across both Windows and Linux environment.
• Proficiency or experience in proactive capacity monitoring and management.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and the OSI layers.
• Scripting capabilities using PowerShell and knowledge of Python will be an added advantage.
• Other Skills: Proficient in spoken and written Malay and English. Fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage to speak with Taiwanese stakeholders

• Exposed to or with experience of AI Ops will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge or experience in ITIL or Network security will be an added advantage.
• Experience in managing cybersecurity or audit exercises will be an added advantage.
