Jora Malaysia is seeking an hands-on IT Support specialist to deliver IT support, infrastructure services, and end-user computing across Malaysia and Thailand. You will own the full IT asset lifecycle—from sourcing and procurement to inventory tracking, deployment, and stock control—and manage office internet connectivity, security systems, and access control.

Provide hands-on IT support, infrastructure services, and end-user computing across Malaysia & Thailand. Own the full IT asset lifecycle - sourcing, procurement, inventory tracking, deployment, and stock control. Manage office internet connectivity, security systems, and access control. Support new joiner onboarding including user account creation, device provisioning, and software setup in accordance with company policies.
Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues spanning hardware, software, applications, network. Log all cases in the ticket management system and provide timely status updates through resolution.
Perform basic IT troubleshooting for desktop, laptop, and peripheral devices; identify root causes and apply fixes or elevate as required.
Deploy, configure, and support Windows 10/11, Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, MDM, and two-factor authentication.
Perform basic Windows Server Administration and Active Directory tasks, including user permissions and group policies.
Support LAN/WAN connectivity, multi-function printers, scanners, and peripheral network devices.
Follow IS security policies and standards; elevate compliance matters and educate end-users on best practices.
Source, procure, and configure IT assets - including laptops, Chromebooks, desktops, mobile devices, and IT peripherals - from approved vendors in Malaysia.
Maintain accurate asset registers, stock levels, and inventory records; track allocations, returns, and disposals.
Coordinate with finance, operations, and project stakeholders to forecast demand, manage purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of equipment.
Conduct regular stock audits and maintain organized storage of spare equipment and accessories.
Track allocation of equipment and ensure all deployed assets are recorded and accounted for.
Install, configure, and maintain software on end-user devices in accordance with company policies and IS standards.
Ensure all workstations are equipped with approved antivirus, anti-malware, and security software; verify definitions are current.
Deploy project-specific software as requested by business units, ensuring compatibility and compliance with licensing and security requirements.
Support software updates, patches, and license management across the user base.
Educate end-users on approved software, tools, and best practices for secure computing.
Liaise with HR to coordinate IT setup for new joiners and email provisioning.
Prepare and configure laptops etc for new employees prior to their start date.
Ensure new joiners receive necessary access credentials, maintain timesheet application, software, and security (e.g., two-factor authentication setup).
Conduct orientation briefings on IT policies, tools, and equipment usage for incoming staff.
Process leaver requests by deactivating accounts, revoking access, and recovering company-owned devices and assets.
Manage and monitor office internet connectivity, including routers, switches, and Wi-Fi access points; troubleshoot connectivity issues and liaise with ISPs for service restoration.
Administer and maintain office access control systems, including biometric readers, manage user access rights and deactivate credentials for departing staff.
Monitor and troubleshoot CCTV surveillance systems, ensuring cameras, recording devices, and storage are fully operational and footage is retained per company policy.
Coordinate with building management and security vendors for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of physical security and network infrastructure.
Respond to security alerts and incidents; investigate unauthorized access attempts and report findings to management.
Support visitor management processes, including temporary access issuance.
Maintain updated documentation for local technology infrastructure, hardware inventories, and application deployments.
Assist with data migrations, archiving, disaster recovery, and backup verification for local servers and mission-critical systems.
Support project rollouts using formal change management methodology (scope, schedule, budget).
Apply continuous improvement and lean tools to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve service delivery.
Travel to project sites and offices as and when required.
Other ad-hoc related requirements as and when deemed necessary.

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or minimum 5 years of relevant experience; or current IT certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, MCP).
Proven experience with ticket management systems and IT asset management or inventory control.
Hands-on desktop support skills and basic systems troubleshooting.
Familiar with Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, and Windows 10/11 deployment.
Experience procuring IT hardware and managing vendor relationships.
Proficient with Microsoft Office 2016 / Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, data migrations, and MDM applications.
Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN, VoIP, telephone systems, mobile operating systems, and anti-malware solutions.
Experience with office security systems such as access control, CCTV, alarm systems, and network infrastructure preferred.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
Clear verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently and across all organizational levels.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
