Job summary

MaiStorage Technology Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Information Technology Executive to provide daily IT support for Windows and Linux environments, maintain hardware assets, and assist with onboarding/offboarding processes.

You will work with senior engineers on network equipment and contribute to SOP documentation. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with hands-on hardware and networking skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments.
• Familiar with office network connectivity and AV equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily IT technical support (Helpdesk) for Windows/Linux environments.
• Manage hardware & assets: workstation deployment, upgrades, and asset inventories.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding IT workflows and access provisioning.
• Collaborate on infrastructure operations: monitor office network gear and server rooms.
• Assist in creating and updating IT FAQs and SOPs.

This position is for our joint venture (JV) company.

Job Responsibilities

First-Line Technical Support (Helpdesk): Provide daily IT technical support and troubleshooting for internal staff, covering Windows/Linux platforms, office network connectivity, printers, and conference room audio-visual equipment.

Hardware & Asset Management: Responsible for workstation deployment (OS installation, software provisioning), hardware upgrades (RAM/SSD), hardware repair coordination, and maintaining accurate IT asset inventories and records.

Account & Permission Maintenance: Assist with onboarding and offboarding IT workflows, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and adjusting access permissions for corporate accounts (e.g., Windows AD, Microsoft 365).

Infrastructure Operations Support: Collaborate with senior engineers to perform routine inspections of office network equipment (Switches, Wi-Fi APs) and server rooms, monitor system statuses, and elevate anomalies.

Documentation & SOP Generation: Assist in creating and updating user-facing IT FAQs and internal technical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize routine operations.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related discipline.

Core Technical Skills:

Proficient in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for Windows 10/11 and Linux environments.

Hands-on experience with PC and laptop hardware troubleshooting, assembly, and component replacement.

Solid understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and the ability to perform basic network diagnostics (e.g., Ping, IP configuration).
