Job summary

Ng Chin Siu & Sons Rubber Estates Sdn Bhd is seeking an IT Executive to manage and maintain IT systems, including servers, databases, and cloud platforms. The role requires installing, configuring, and updating hardware and software components, and monitoring LAN/WAN connectivity to minimize downtime.

You will troubleshoot and provide user support for software, hardware, and network issues, plus training on IT systems. Willingness to travel and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in IT-related fields.
• Strong knowledge of hardware, software and networking.
• Willingness to travel.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IT systems, including servers, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Install, configure, and update hardware and software components.
• Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, and Internet connectivity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
• Provide technical support to employees for software, hardware, and network issues.
• Provide training and guidance to users on IT systems and applications.
• Monitor IT systems for security breaches and vulnerabilities.
• Enforce cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls.
• Ensure compliance with IT regulations and standards.
• Maintain documentation of IT systems, issues, processes, and configurations.
• Document IT assets and manage inventory.
• Any other tasks / objectives as assigned.

Job description

Install, configure, and update hardware and software components.

Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and internet connectivity.

Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues to minimize downtime.

Provide technical support to employees for software, hardware, and network-related issues.

Providing training and guidance to users on the effective use of IT systems and applications

Monitor IT systems for potential security breaches and vulnerabilities.

Enforce cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and user access controls.

Ensure compliance with relevant IT regulations and standards.

Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, issues, processes, and configurations.

Document IT assets and manage inventory.

Any other tasks / objectives which may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent

Min working experience 2-4 years on related fields

Possess initiative and service-oriented attitude with good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with users

Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills with hardware, software, and networking

Willing to travel

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
