Job summary

PH World - Palm Oil Division in Johor Bahru seeks an experienced IT Executive to maintain and secure office IT systems, support staff, and drive digital initiatives at HQ. You will manage hardware, software, networks, and vendor relationships, contribute to system upgrades, and implement IT policies.

A diploma/degree in IT with 2–3 years relevant experience is required; MS SQL Server and Microsoft 365 experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in IT; strong foundation in computer networks and systems.
• 2–3 years in IT support, system or network administration, preferably in manufacturing.
• Solid troubleshooting, security controls, and incident response awareness.
• Experience with MS SQL Server is a plus.

We are seeking an experienced IT Executive to join our dynamic team at PH World - Palm Oil Division in Johor Bahru, Johor. This position will be based at our HQ in Stulang Laut, Johor Bahru. As an IT Executive, you will play support, ensuring all systems (especially office-specific software) run efficiently, securely, and in alignment with business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management and troubleshooting of IT systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure
• Provide technical support and resolve issues for employees, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Assist with evaluation, negotiation and management of IT service and hardware/software vendor relationships
• Lead or participate in IT projects such as system upgrades and digital transformation initiatives
• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize technology resources
• Support for specialized application and system in the company
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and industry developments, and recommend improvements to IT infrastructure
• Knowledge in Microsoft 365 (Administration, Power Automate) is an advantage
• Plan and manage IT documentation, including Purchase Requisitions (PR), vendor sourcing records, supplier documentation, quotations, Purchase Orders (PO), invoices, and related records.

Requirements

• At least Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar IT support or system/network administrator role, preferably within milling or manufacturing industry
• Strong technical skills and expertise in managing and troubleshooting network systems, servers, and software applications
• Proficiency in implementing and maintaining information security measures, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and access control
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and resolve IT-related issues
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Working knowledge of database administration (e.g., MS SQL Server) and scripting language is a plus
• Proficient in Front End and Back End language is added advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
