Job summary

Plassein Industry Sdn Bhd is seeking an IT Executive to maintain and secure the company’s IT infrastructure, computer systems, network, software and business applications in a production environment. You will provide timely technical support, manage ERP integrations, and ensure minimal disruption to operations.

Ideal candidates hold a diploma or degree in an IT field with 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT or related field and relevant training.
• Certifications are an advantage.
• Experience supporting ERP and network infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, servers and network gear.
• Provide timely technical support to all departments.
• Manage company email, internet, Wi-Fi, network access and user accounts.
• Maintain ERP and production-related systems and business applications.
• Monitor system performance, security and data backup.
• Maintain IT asset registers, software licenses and equipment records.
• Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers.
• Monitor IT expenses, maintenance costs and software subscriptions.
• Implement IT security measures and prevent unauthorized access.
• Ensure IT projects and upgrades are completed on time.
• Maintain IT SOPs and troubleshooting documentation.
• Submit monthly IT performance reports to HR Manager and Management.

Work location - Plassein Industry Salary range RM3,500–RM5,000

Working hours - 5.5 Days (8.00 - 17.00)

B. Job Purpose

To ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, security and availability of the company's IT infrastructure, computer systems, network, software and business applications.

The IT Executive is responsible for providing timely technical support to all departments, maintaining IT assets, protecting company information and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

C. Key Job Responsibilities (JD)

1. 1. Maintain computers, laptops, printers, servers, network infrastructure and IT equipment.
2. 2. Provide technical support and troubleshooting to all departments.
3. 3. Manage company email, internet, Wi-Fi, network access and user accounts.
4. 4. Maintain ERP, production-related systems and other business applications.
5. 5. Monitor system performance, security and data backup.
6. 6. Maintain IT asset registers, software licenses and equipment records.
7. 7. Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers.
8. 8. Monitor IT expenses, maintenance costs and software subscriptions.
9. 9. Implement IT security measures and control unauthorized access.
10. 10. Ensure IT projects and system upgrades are completed within approved timelines.
11. 11. Maintain IT SOPs, technical documentation and troubleshooting records.
12. 12. Submit monthly IT performance reports to HR Manager and Management

D. Required Qualifications and Experience

Academic Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional IT certifications are an advantage.
• Relevant technical training in networking, cybersecurity or system administration.

Working Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant IT experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred.
• Experience supporting ERP systems, network infrastructure and business applications.
• Computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
