Job summary

Aurora Talent is seeking an experienced HR Manager to own end-to-end HR operations in Malaysia, covering talent management, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, and HR policies and processes.

Experience in energy, manufacturing or critical infrastructure is highly advantageous. The role involves close partnership with country leadership on workforce planning, recruitment, payroll coordination and HR governance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably with exposure to fast growing, project-driven or operational environments.
  • Strong generalist HR experience across recruitment, employee relations, compensation, performance management, HR operations and compliance.
  • Sound knowledge of Malaysia employment laws, HR governance requirements and practical application of HR policies.
  • Work independently in a lean, fast-moving environment with limited structure and ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Country leadership and functional stakeholders to provide HR support across workforce planning, organisation needs, people matters and business priorities.
  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle activities, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, employee engagement, performance matters, exits and offboarding.
  • Lead hiring support for Malaysia, including role scoping, candidate assessment, salary proposals, internal equity review, offer recommendation and approval follow-up.
  • Support manpower planning and recruitment delivery for critical roles across functions to meet business readiness timelines.
  • Drive structured salary proposals and compensation recommendations, ensuring alignment with approved budget, role scope, market positioning, internal equity and retention needs.
  • Partner with business leaders on employee relations matters, including performance concerns, workplace conduct issues, investigations, disciplinary process, grievance handling and exits.

We are looking for a HR Manager, who will take ownership of end-to-end HR operations in Malaysia, covering areas such as talent management, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, and HR policies and processes.

Experience in power, renewable energy, oil and gas, manufacturing, engineering, or critical infrastructure is highly advantageous.
