THE BUTCHERIE SDN. BHD. is seeking a Human Resource Manager to lead HR in Sibu, Sarawak. This full-time role focuses on shaping organizational culture, aligning HR practices with business objectives, and supporting workforce development.

You will manage recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance, acting as a liaison between management and staff while driving growth and development across the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years in a generalist HR role or HR consulting.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law.
• Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficient in HRIS and MS Office.

• Develop and implement HR strategies and policies aligned with objectives and laws.
• Manage full recruitment lifecycle from job analysis to onboarding.
• Oversee employee relations, contracts, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution.
• Oversee training and development programmes for skill growth.
• Administer compensation and benefits with statutory compliance.
• Maintain confidential employee records and data protection compliance.
• Handle grievances and terminations per policies and law.
• Provide HR guidance to line managers on employment matters.
• Monitor compliance with employment laws and internal policies.

About the role

We are seeking a Human Resource Manager to join our team in Sibu, Sarawak on a full-time basis. This is a strategic role that plays a vital part in shaping our organisational culture and supporting our business objectives. As Human Resource Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management, from recruitment and employee relations to performance management and compliance. You will act as a key liaison between management and employees, ensuring that our HR policies and practices align with our company values whilst supporting the growth and development of our workforce.

Key responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies and policies that align with company objectives and employment legislation

Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job analysis, vacancy advertising, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees

Administer employee relations matters, including contract management, performance management, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution

Oversee training and development programmes to enhance employee skills and career progression opportunities

Manage compensation and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and industry standards

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations

Handle employee grievances and terminations in accordance with company policies and legal requirements

Provide HR guidance and support to line managers on employment matters and best practices

Monitor and ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies

Contribute to workplace culture initiatives and employee engagement activities

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a generalist HR role or HR consulting environment

Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law and labour regulations

Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels

Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Problem-solving mindset with a strategic approach to HR challenges

Professional HR certification (such as CIPD or equivalent) is advantageous
