Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HRM, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 in management.
• Proven expertise in recruitment, talent management, employee relations and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour law, regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with cross-level relationship building.

About the role

We are seeking a Human Resource Manager to join our leadership team on a full-time basis at our Sepang, Selangor location. This is a strategic role that will be instrumental in shaping our human resources strategy and driving organisational excellence across the resort. You will oversee all aspects of human resource management, from recruitment and talent development to employee relations and compliance. This position reports directly to senior management and plays a crucial role in supporting our operational teams whilst ensuring we maintain the highest standards of service and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive human resource strategies aligned with the resort's overall business objectives and growth plans
• Lead recruitment, selection and onboarding processes to attract and retain high-calibre talent across all departments
• Oversee employee relations, performance management and disciplinary matters in accordance with employment law and company policies
• Design and deliver training and development programmes to enhance staff skills, competencies and career progression
• Manage compensation and benefits administration, ensuring competitive and equitable remuneration packages
• Maintain compliance with Malaysian labour laws, employment regulations and industry standards
• Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes teamwork, innovation and employee wellbeing
• Prepare and analyse human resource metrics, reports and insights to support strategic decision-making
• Liaise with department heads to identify staffing needs, manage workforce planning and optimise resource allocation
• Implement and manage employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of progressive human resource experience, with at least 2 years in a management capacity
• Proven expertise in recruitment, talent management, employee relations and performance management
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law, labour regulations and statutory compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation
• Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to manage and mentor HR teams
• Experience in the hospitality or tourism industry is highly desirable
• Proficiency in human resource information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office applications
• Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High degree of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism
