Ametalin in Malaysia is seeking an HR Generalist to oversee recruitment, payroll, employee administration, compliance, and strategic HR initiatives in our Johor Bahru site. You will manage the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding while ensuring adherence to Malaysian employment laws.

This role encompasses a comprehensive range of human resources functions across recruitment, payroll, employee administration, compliance and strategic HR initiatives. The position manages the full employee lifecycle from recruitment through onboarding, benefits administration, performance management and offboarding, while ensuring alignment with Malaysian employment regulations and company policies.
Manage the full recruitment process from manpower requisition, job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, selection and offer preparation
Liaise with recruitment agencies and external parties for recruitment activities
Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including medical check-up, reference checks and required documentation
Manage monthly payroll processing and ensure payroll information is accurate and submitted within the required timeline
Verify attendance, overtime, leave, allowances, deductions and other payroll-related information
Process statutory contributions and submissions, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB
Administer employee benefits, including Group Hospitalisation & Surgical (GHS), Group Personal Accident (GPA), medical benefits and other company benefits
Coordinate insurance renewal, employee additions/deletions and claims with insurance providers or brokers
Handle day-to-day employee enquiries and provide guidance on HR policies, procedures and employment-related matters
Develop, review and update HR policies, procedures, SOPs and employee handbook as required
Experience in recruitment and manpower planning
Knowledge of payroll processing and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB)
Familiarity with employee benefits and insurance administration
Understanding of Malaysian employment laws and regulations
Proficiency in HR systems and data management
Ability to handle employee relations and resolve workplace issues
Experience with performance management and appraisal processes
Knowledge of foreign worker and expatriate administration where applicable
