Job summary

A leading logistics company in Malaysia is seeking a Senior HSE Manager to develop and implement HSE programs and processes. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years in HSE roles, particularly in industrial or oil & gas environments. Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • HSE Systems & Process Implementation: Ensure HSE work processes, standards, and procedures are consistently applied within all units. Coordinate with Corporate HSE and Technical Professionals for clarification and alignment on standards and interpretations. Confidential - Authorized for External Distribution
  • Incident Investigation & Corrective Action: Ensure an effective incident investigation framework is in place. Lead investigations for significant HSE incidents, address audit findings, and follow up on corrective actions involving system deficiencies.
  • HSE Program Development: Develop and maintain HSE procedures, risk assessments, and emergency response plans for facility operations.
  • Performance Monitoring & Incident Reduction: Coordinate and promote incident reduction initiatives. Support site-wide HSE systems, facilitate audits, provide required data, and assist in developing action plans for system improvements.
  • Operational & Waste Management Support: Support non-routine waste disposal activities as required and provide guidance on compliance with relevant environmental regulations.
  • Cost-Effective HSE Delivery: Ensure cost‑efficient implementation of HSE systems by leveraging standard work processes, common tools, and best practices for operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent. Confidential - Authorized for External Distribution.
  • Minimum 15 years in HSE roles within industrial, manufacturing, or oil & gas environments.
  • Experience in conducting HSE audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Experienced in HSE digital tools and managing at least 400 employees/contractors/subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and ISO standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, emergency response, and hazard control measures.
  • Ability to deliver HSE training and safety awareness programs.
  • Good incident investigation and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills for audits and compliance records.
