About the role

Rock Maestro Sdn Bhd is seeking a full-time HR Executive to join our team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This is a strategic position within our Human Resources function, where you will play a vital role in supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives that drive organisational growth and employee engagement. As an HR Executive, you will be instrumental in ensuring our company maintains a positive workplace culture whilst supporting our business objectives through effective people management and HR service delivery.

What you’ll be doing

• Administering and managing employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation in compliance with relevant legislation
• Supporting the recruitment and onboarding process, including job posting, candidate screening, interview coordination, and new employee induction
• Assisting with the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Processing payroll information, leave requests, and employee benefits administration
• Coordinating training and development programmes to support employee growth and skill enhancement
• Handling employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary issues, and performance management support
• Maintaining HR databases and management information systems to ensure data accuracy and confidentiality
• Supporting the planning and execution of employee engagement activities and company events
• Providing HR administrative support to senior management and departmental heads
• Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, labour laws, and company policies

What we’re looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 2-4 years of HR executive or HR administrative experience in a fast-paced corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and labour laws
• Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive HR information and documentation
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in HR matters
• Problem-solving mindset with a customer service orientation
• Preferably, certification in HR practices such as HRMP or equivalent professional qualifications would be advantageous
