Agensi Pekerjaan Ami Awana Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking an HR Assistant to develop and oversee recruitment processes, screen CVs, conduct screenings, coordinate interviews, and maintain accurate documentation.
The role also oversees labour engagement, orientation and exit processes, HR compliance, timesheets, and annual performance reviews. A Diploma or higher and 3+ years in HR are preferred; fresh graduates are welcome. Fluency in Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia is required.
Develop and oversee a recruitment process.
Review job advertisements before posting, screen CVs, conduct telephone screenings, coordinate interview teams, participate in interviewing candidates, and ensure that documentation is collected and recorded/filed.
Oversee all labour engagement and manage the new hire orientation and exit process.
b) Compliance and Record Keeping:
Annually review the Personnel Handbook, recommending amendments needed due to changes in conditions or labour laws.
Manage timesheets for the office, ensuring timely submission, approval, accuracy, and filing.
Monitor compensation - ensuring internal equity & compliance, and benefits.
Facilitate job analysis and update job descriptions.
c) Training, Development and Performance Maintenance:
Evaluate the need for employee training and development and make recommendations.
Oversee the coordination and implementation of annual performance reviews.
d) Employee Relations (ER) & Industrial Relations (IR):
Work with senior management to resolve employee relations issues pragmatically.
Investigate employee relations issues & work to ensure human resources-related decisions are consistent and fair
e) HR Administration and Systems
To ensure data accuracy and generate reports as required by management.
Prepare and submit HR reports, analytics, and metrics for management review.
Draft and issue internal HR communications, circulars, and notices as directed.
Undertake any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by a superior.
About you
Possess at least a Diploma and above in Human Resource Management, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Psychology or equivalent
At least three (3) years of working experience in the general human resource management field.

Fluent in spoken and written Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia
Good understanding of the Malaysian Labour Act and Employment Laws
Good organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to function in a multicultural environment
