NODE ONE SDN. BHD. seeks an HR & Administration Professional to own the end-to-end HR lifecycle in Malaysia, reporting to Group HR Manager in China. You will handle local recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and statutory compliance, acting as the bridge between the Malaysian team, local authorities, and HQ.
The role covers administration, records, PDPA compliance, and expatriate support, with independent work under remote supervision. Local hire only; no Employment Pass sponsorship.
You will be the company's sole HR & Administration professional in Malaysia, working directly under the Group HR Manager based at group HQ in China. You own end-to-end office operations and are the hands-on executor for all Malaysian HR and statutory compliance for our local entity. While day-to-day workload leans toward administration, you are also fully responsible for the company's employment lifecycle and statutory obligations in Malaysia — acting as the local bridge between the Malaysian team, local authorities, and group HQ.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources (you are the executor for the full Malaysian HR cycle)
Local recruitment: Handle straightforward local hiring for junior and support roles — write/post JDs on JobStreet, SEEK and LinkedIn, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews. Escalate senior or specialised roles to Group HR.
Employee lifecycle : Onboarding, probation, confirmation, transfer, promotion and offboarding — prepare and execute all related letters, records and final settlement.
Compliance employment: Employment Act 1955-compliant contracts, notice periods, leave administration, and day-to-day employee-relations handling.
Social security & provident fund : Register and process monthly EPF (Employees Provident Fund), SOCSO and EIS contributions; handle enrolment, updates and statutory submissions.
Payroll : Monthly payroll computation, income-tax deductions (PCB/MTD), and EA Form issuance.
Records & PDPA: Maintain personnel files and handle employee data in line with PDPA 2010.
Expat support: Support work-pass / Employment-Pass matters for any expatriate staff (liaison with ESD / immigration) in coordination with HQ.
Reporting: Regular HR reporting to Group HR: headcount, attrition, compliance status.
Administration (primary day-to-day focus)
Logistics: Travel, accommodation and logistics for local and visiting staff.
Compliance: General & property insurance, permits and licence renewals.
Ad-hoc: Ad-hoc administrative support to Malaysia leadership and Group HR.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of HR and/or administration experience in Malaysia; hands-on exposure to a small/lean entity is preferred.
Hands-on knowledge of Malaysian employment law (Employment Act 1955), EPF / SOCSO / EIS, PCB income tax, and PDPA 2010.
Proven ability to execute the full local HR compliance cycle: onboarding/offboarding, EPF/SOCSO/EIS, and payroll.
Self-starter who can work independently under remote supervision; discreet with confidential and personal data.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); HRIS/payroll-system experience is a plus.
Local hire Malaysian citizen or permanent resident — this role hires a local Malaysian and does not sponsor an Employment Pass.
