Popular Book Co. (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Chief IT Officer to oversee daily IT operations, ensuring stability and security of all systems, and to lead ERP, infrastructure, helpdesk and development teams.

You will shape technology strategy, manage budgets and vendors, deliver projects aligned with business objectives, and document key decisions and procedures; travel to oversee implementations as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or a related discipline
10–15 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Experience supporting retail operations and enterprise applications
Strong command of English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the IT Department, ensuring the stability, security and availability of all IT systems.
Lead and mentor teams across the company , e.g: ERP, Infrastructure, Helpdesk, Development Team
Provide recommendations on future technology planning, technology adoption and capability development for company.
Plan, manage, and deliver IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with business objectives.
Manage IT budgets, technology investments, vendors and service providers.
Ensure major technology initiatives are adequately documented, including project decisions, implementation approach, vendor information, operational procedures and support documentation.
