Job summary

Edaran Otomobil Nasional Berhad is seeking a seasoned Head of IT to lead IT strategy, infrastructure, systems and digital initiatives, ensuring secure and integrated operations across the business. You will drive planning, development and delivery of IT projects, manage budgets and vendor relationships, and mentor the IT team to maintain data governance, security and regulatory compliance.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing IT operations, infrastructure, systems and technology projects.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, IT infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity and data governance.
• Experience managing SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development and implementation of IT initiatives, ensuring effective integration across application systems.
• Manage IT projects, schedules, resources, risks, scope and priorities to ensure agreed objectives and deadlines are achieved.
• Oversee the performance and capability development of the IT team through training, coaching, empowerment and knowledge sharing.
• Partner with management and business users to analyse operational requirements and recommend suitable technology solutions.
• Develop and monitor IT policies and controls to support data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage relationships and contract negotiations with technology consultants, service providers and vendors.
• Oversee the selection, usage and maintenance of application systems, desktop hardware and software.
• Ensure the reliability and availability of IT infrastructure, including SAP, local and wide area networks and corporate email systems.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades and change-management activities to support project implementation and business improvement.
• Monitor technology trends, infrastructure developments and industry best practices to improve IT effectiveness.
• Support organisational reporting requirements, performance measurement and data integrity across business functions.
• Manage departmental operations, cost efficiency, budget planning and overall IT activities.

Candidate Profile

Demonstrated leadership experience in managing IT operations, infrastructure, systems and technology projects.

Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, IT infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity and data governance.

Experience managing SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems would be advantageous.

Strong project management, vendor management, budgeting and contract-negotiation capabilities.
