Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and consistently, learning and using guest names.
• Assist check-in: ensure registration cards are complete and legible, assign correct room type and rate.
• Handle guest requests, assist with pre-registration and room blocking when needed.
• Stay informed about room rates, packages, and discounts.
• Maximize revenue by offering the highest rate room for walk-ins.
• Use upselling techniques to maximize room revenue.
• Know all credit card and cashing policies; handle transactions efficiently.
• Develop knowledge of hotel staff, outlets, and hours of operation.
• Manage safe deposit boxes per procedures.
• Highlight high-balance guests to Front Office Manager.
• Be familiar with reservations system and cancellation policy.
• Coordinate with other departments via proper channels.
• Address guest inquiries promptly with courtesy.
• Maintain guest confidentiality.
• Handle cash transactions as required.
• Be familiar with foreign currency exchange rates.
• Check hotel lines at shift start and report outages.
• Ensure staff calls are served per hotel timing.
