Job summary

All Cosmos Industries Sdn. Bhd. in Pasir Gudang, Johor is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support procurement of local and overseas spare parts for two factories.

You will generate POs, source and negotiate prices, monitor deliveries, and liaise with customs to ensure smooth imports. Requirements: Diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant experience; computer literate and bilingual; knowledge of purchasing processes, supplier records, ISO documentation, and building/maintenance

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification with at least 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Computer literate and bilingual (able to communicate effectively in at least two languages).
• Basic knowledge of purchasing processes and supply chain operations.
• Understanding of spare parts procurement for engineering, maintenance, and electrical applications.
• Familiar with import documentation and coordination with customs and forwarding agents.
• Knowledge of supplier record management and ISO documentation requirements.
• Basic understanding of building maintenance and construction material requisitions.

Responsibilities

• Generate Purchase Orders for spare parts for two factories, including shovel, and local parts for Maintenance, Engineering, Electrical in Keluli Factory.
• Source, negotiate for better pricing and terms for overseas and local parts for Maintenance, Engineering, Electrical, and Keluli factory.
• Consistently monitor and follow up delivery after issued PO.
• Monitor inventory and usage of overseas parts.
• Liaise with customs and agents for overseas parts import.
• Verify and timely submission of invoices to accounts department for processing payment.
• Timely update the purchasing database as required.
• Maintain supplier database for ISO compliance.
