Job summary

Hock Dee Powder Coating (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a capable Purchaser to support production needs in Kulai, Johor. You will source raw materials, negotiate with suppliers and issue purchase orders to keep operations moving smoothly.

You will coordinate with Production, Store and other departments, monitor stock levels and manage supplier records. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• SPM or Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills with Excel and Word.
• Able to communicate with suppliers and follow up independently.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Organised, detail-oriented and responsible.
• Able to communicate with diverse clients in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience in purchasing or manufacturing environment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase raw materials and other items for production.
• Request and compare supplier quotations on price, quality, lead time, and terms.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO).
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with Production, Store, R&D and other departments on material needs.
• Monitor stock and arrange purchases per production needs.
• Source new suppliers and negotiate pricing and terms.
• Handle urgent purchases and shortages.
• Maintain purchasing records and supplier information.
• Perform other purchasing and administrative duties as needed.

Job Responsibilities

Source and purchase raw materials, hardware, components, packaging materials and other items required for production.

Request and compare supplier quotations based on pricing, quality, lead time and payment terms.

Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO).

Follow up with suppliers closely to ensure materials are delivered on time.

Coordinate with Production, Store, R&D and other departments on material requirements.

Monitor stock availability and arrange purchases according to production needs.

Source new suppliers and negotiate pricing and terms when required.

Handle urgent purchases and material shortages.

Follow up on defective, incorrect or incomplete deliveries with suppliers.

Maintain proper purchasing records, supplier information, quotations and purchase history.

Perform other purchasing and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Minimum SPM / Diploma or equivalent.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.

Able to communicate with suppliers and follow up independently.

Good communication and negotiation skills.

Responsible, organised and detail-oriented.

Able to communicate with our diverse client in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Experience in purchasing or manufacturing environment is an advantage.
