Job summary

Karex Berhad is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage daily shipment planning and documentation, coordinating with customers, suppliers, and freight forwarders both locally and internationally.

The role requires collaboration with Warehouse, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure on-time delivery and cost-efficient logistics services. Port Klang location with English & Malay communication skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistic Management / Transport Management or its equivalent.
• Minimum 0-2 year of working experience or fresh graduate in the Logistics / Transport field and relevant experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English & Malay.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills – external and internal.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Port Klang, Selangor.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipment arrangements with customers, suppliers, transporters, and freight forwarders.
• Prepare and process shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, delivery orders, bills of lading, airway bills, and certificates of origin where required.
• Arrange local and international shipments by air, sea, road, or courier.
• Monitor shipment status and ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams on picking, packing, loading, and dispatching goods.
• Verify shipment details including quantities, item codes, delivery addresses, and shipping instructions.
• Obtain and compare freight quotations and coordinate with freight forwarders to achieve competitive shipping costs.
• Track incoming and outgoing shipments and update customers or internal departments on delivery status.
• Handle shipping-related issues such as delays, damaged goods, missing documents, customs clearance problems, and delivery discrepancies.
• Prepare shipping reports and provide updates on shipment performance and outstanding deliveries.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, Finance, and Customer Service departments to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
• Check freight invoices and assist with verification of shipping charges.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and improvements to the company’s logistics and shipping processes
