Job summary

Kosel Industries Sdn Bhd, based in Prai, Penang, is seeking a Logistics Executive to organize transportation activities for import and export, coordinating from origin to delivery. You will handle freight cost updates and maintain shipment records.

Responsibilities include preparing shipment documents, negotiating rates with forwarders, and promoting ISO 9001 and other quality standards within the company. Previous logistics experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize transportation activities for import and export from origin to delivery.
• Prepare logistic documents related to shipments (SST, Insurance, Packing & MIDA, Form D).
• Update freight cost for each shipment via courier, air and sea.
• Maintain shipment records (soft and hard copies) for export and import.
• Coordinate transportation providers to ensure timely movement of shipments.
• Negotiate transportation rates with forwarders to meet cost targets while maintaining service quality.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior.
• Promote ISO 9001 and other quality standards maintained by the company.
