Pay It Forward (PIF) seeks an experienced operations leader to drive Malaysia growth, owning the market end-to-end and building scalable systems.
You will forge local partnerships, optimize the user journey with product and tech, and recruit a high-performing Malaysia team, reporting to the founders.
This founder-minded role requires deep market expertise and a hands-on approach to turning strategy into measurable impact.
Pay It Forward (PIF) is an innovative social impact platform designed to connect merchants, users, and communities through the power of sponsored meals. As we enter a critical growth phase in Malaysia, we are seeking a high-caliber, all-rounded operational leader with deep local market expertise to drive our strategic execution and scale our impact.
This is not a traditional operator role; we are looking for a leader who can simultaneously think like a strategist, execute with the precision of an operator, and act with the dedicated mindset of a founder. The successful candidate will own the Malaysia market end-to-end, unlocking resources and building scalable systems to drive high-impact growth.
Develop and own the comprehensive Malaysia market strategy by identifying growth levers and localizing the PIF business model to align with the unique local landscape.
Take complete ownership of the Malaysia business funnel and performance metrics, overseeing every stage from user acquisition to long-term retention.
Build essential SOPs, dashboards, and reporting systems to ensure the business model is structured for rapid, sustainable scalability while maintaining high operational standards.
Proactively diagnose operational bottlenecks and translate ambiguous challenges into clear, actionable execution plans that drive measurable results.
Leverage a deep local network to secure high-impact partnerships across F&B chains, corporate CSR/ESG sponsors, and NGO partners to drive platform growth.
Collaborate with product and tech teams to optimize the user journey, translating "boots-on-the-ground" insights into technical roadmaps that improve conversion and retention.
Act as a primary strategic partner to the founders for regional expansion while leading the recruitment and day-to-day management of a high-performance Malaysia team.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations, strategy, or general management within high-growth platform or marketplace environments such as Grab, Shopee, or Foodpanda.
A verifiable history of scaling operations from 0→1 or 1→10, featuring hands-on involvement in merchant acquisition and growth initiatives.
Extensive hands-on exposure to the Malaysia market with a sophisticated understanding of local consumer behavior and the domestic merchant landscape.
Deep, actionable connections within F&B chains, merchant networks, and corporate CSR/ESG departments, with the ability to unlock opportunities within the first few weeks.
High level of data literacy with a firm grasp of funnel optimization metrics and the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical iterations.
A high-ownership, solution-oriented mindset that remains hands-on and adaptable while remaining fully accountable for business outcomes.
Achieve significant targets in merchant acquisition and activation across the Malaysia market.
Establish and manage a robust local ecosystem of merchants, corporate sponsors, and NGO partners.
Drive measurable improvements in user journey conversion rates and overall operational efficiency.
Design and execute a fully functional operations model, including reporting dashboards, to support rapid growth.
