Job summary

The Oven Door Sdn Bhd is seeking a passionate Pastry Kitchen Team Member to join our pastry production team in Malaysia. You will work closely with our pastry team to prepare and produce a range of high-quality French pastries, viennoiseries, cakes and other pastry products.

This hands-on role requires attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced kitchen with a focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily preparation and production of pastry products.
• Prepare ingredients, fillings, creams, doughs, batters and other pastry components according to recipes and production requirements.
• Assist with the production of French pastries, viennoiseries, entremets, petit gâteau, cakes and other bakery products.
• Follow recipes, portioning, production schedules and quality standards accurately.
• Assist with baking, assembling, decorating and finishing pastry products.
• Ensure consistency in product quality, appearance, texture and portion size.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the pastry kitchen, equipment and workstations.
• Properly store ingredients and finished products according to food safety requirements.
• Monitor ingredient usage and inform the supervisor when stock is running low.
• Follow proper food handling, hygiene and safety procedures.
• Assist with daily opening and closing kitchen duties.
• Work as part of a team to complete daily production on time.
• Perform other pastry kitchen duties assigned by the Pastry Chef or Supervisor.
