PAUL Malaysia is seeking an experienced Pastry Supervisor to support our Pastry Chef in delivering signature French pastries with consistency and quality. You will lead a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment at a premier Pavilion Bukit Bintang location, ensuring food safety and adherence to PAUL’s brand standards.
The role requires 1–2 years in pastry/bakery ops, a culinary qualification (preferred), and the ability to work flexible shifts.
The Team supports the Pastry Chef in delivering PAUL’s signature French pastries with consistency, quality, and excellence. This role plays a key leadership function in daily pastry operations, team supervision, food safety compliance, and continuous improvement—while upholding PAUL’s brand standards and culinary integrity in a high-volume, high-paced environment.
Assist in overseeing daily pastry production, ensuring all items meet PAUL’s recipes, presentation standards, and quality benchmarks
Ensure consistency in taste, texture, portioning, and finishing of all pastry and bakery items
Monitor stock levels, ingredient usage, and minimize wastage through proper planning and control
Support the Pastry Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and workflow
Supervise and guide pastry team members, including commis and trainees, ensuring discipline, teamwork, and efficiency
Step in to lead the pastry station during the absence of the Pastry Chef
Perform effectively in a high-paced, high-sales environment while maintaining quality and standards
Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation SOPs in line with company policy and Malaysian regulations
Uphold cleanliness, personal hygiene, and kitchen safety standards at all times
Support internal audits, inspections, and implementation of corrective actions
Eligibility: Open to Local Malaysian candidates only
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in pastry or bakery operations, preferably in a hotel, café, or premium F&B environment
Formal culinary or pastry qualification is an added advantage
Strong understanding of pastry techniques, baking processes, and food safety standards
Proven ability to supervise and motivate a small team
Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Able to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
Strong attention to detail and quality-driven mindset
