Job summary

Confidential Jobs is seeking an experienced Finance Manager in Malaysia to oversee all accounting operations within a manufacturing setting. You will steer budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance while ensuring robust internal controls and system integrations.

The role requires ACCA or equivalent finance qualification and at least 10 years of finance experience, with manufacturing exposure highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations: Billing, A/R, GL, cost accounting, inventory, and revenue recognition.
• Coordinate annual budget preparation and financial forecasts; report variances.
• Prepare and circulate monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close; liaise with auditors and bankers.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Manage local, state, and federal government reporting and tax filings.
• Develop and document accounting policies and internal controls.
• Oversee accounting system and assist with system maintenance and integration.

Job description

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, GL and Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition, cash flow monitoring, and tax matters
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of annual budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Prepare and circulate monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process, liaising with auditors, bankers, insurers and the necessary stakeholders to ensure timely audit and its completion
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• In charge of accounting system, and in addition support other system maintenance and integration

About you

• Possess at least ACCA or Bachelor Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional qualification in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent
• At least 10 years of experience in finance
• Working experiences in manufacturing is preferred
