About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our Finance team.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is responsible for managing key areas of financial accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, taxation, cost control, fixed assets, internal controls and audit coordination.
This is a hands‑on finance leadership role for someone who brings strong accounting fundamentals, sound financial judgement and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders in a manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the month‑end and year‑end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Review journal entries, general ledger accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany balances.
- Ensure financial records and reporting are accurate and compliant with MFRS and applicable statutory requirements.
- Prepare monthly P&L and Balance Sheet management reports, including detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, coordinating with Department Heads to consolidate and finalise business budgets.
- Monitor monthly actual performance against budget and identify key variances and financial implications.
- Oversee key Accounts Payable controls, including vendor reconciliations and GRIR monitoring, and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Manage corporate income tax, SST, withholding tax, transfer pricing and other relevant statutory requirements, including coordination of tax filings and audits.
- Support inventory controls and the finalisation of physical stock verification reporting.
- Manage fixed‑asset controls including CAPEX review, CWIP monitoring, asset capitalisation, disposals and physical verification.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with established finance SOPs and processes.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and drive timely closure of audit findings.
- Support insurance management and other finance‑related requirements.
- Lead, coach and develop the Finance team, including performance management and capability development.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA or MIA would be an advantage.
- 7–10 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong experience across financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, taxation, controls and audit.
- Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment is preferred.
- Good understanding of inventory accounting, fixed assets and CAPEX.
- Experience with Oracle JDE ERP would be an advantage.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Strong stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a Finance team.
