Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks a Finance Manager to oversee the finance function, lead a small team, and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Reporting to the Business Director/Group Finance Manager, you will manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts, tax matters, audits, and collaborate with auditors and the Company Secretary to meet statutory deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent; professional qualification in accounting/finance (CPA/ACCA/MIA) preferable.
• Minimum 2 years of finance and accounting experience including finance, accounting, audit, and analysis.
• Familiar with local taxation; experience in tax matters is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review finance and accounting functions including payments as part of day-to-day operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly/quarterly/annual accounts and performance reports with analysis.
• Assist in tax matters for subsidiaries and affiliates with tax agents and ensure timely filings.
• Assist external auditors to finalize annual audit and submit statutory accounts to Company Secretary for filing to SSM.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

Reporting to the Business Director/Group Finance Manager, the Finance Manager is responsible to oversee the overall business finance function.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review of finance and accounting overall functions, including payments as part of Finance day-to-day operations
• Ensure timely & accurate generation of monthly/quarterly/annual accounts, quarterly & yearly Performance Reports, with proper analysis of schedules and analysis with the assistance of subordinates
• Assist in handling tax matters of the subsidiaries and other companies/branches as assigned in close liaison with the tax agents, including having a sound understanding of the tax laws and rulings to enable proper tax planning and mitigation for the companies handled and ensuring timely and accurate filing of annual submission, tax estimation and payments.
• Assist in liaison with external auditors to finalize the annual audit and ensure the statutory accounts are promptly submitted to Company Secretary for filing to SSM.
• Undertake any other jobs and duties may be assigned from time to time from management

Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Accounting. Professional qualification in accounting or finance (CPA, ACCA, MIA or equivalent) is preferable.
• Minimum of 2 years of finance and accounting experience, including finance, accounting, audit, and analysis.
• Familiar with local taxation. Experience in handling tax matters will be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership skill to lead subordinates.
• Well versed in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Ms. Excel.
• Able to work independently and demonstrates strong initiative.
• Proactive working attitude with ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
