Job summary

YSQ International is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations in Kuala Lumpur. You will manage end-to-end accounting, drive monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and ensure strong internal controls.

The role requires a Bachelor degree or professional qualification, at least 15 years in finance with 8 in management, preferably in FMCG, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or full professional qualification (CPA/CMA/CA)
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting
• At least 8 years in a managerial capacity
• FMCG, distributions or manufacturing sector experience preferred
• Fluent in English is mandatory
• Experience with financial software preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounting records and finance functions
• Prepare monthly financial reporting
• Analyse and provide inputs and recommendations on monthly financial statements
• Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecasts; manage budgets and identify improvements
• Oversee cash flow planning and liquidity management
• Provide technical accounting support to operating businesses
• Drive visibility and improvements through financial analysis
• Prepare, supervise and conduct annual external audit and statutory financial reports
• Deliver costing reports and other assignments as needed
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and internal policies
• Streamline financial systems and processes to increase efficiency
• Support ad hoc projects as required

• Oversee cash flow planning and management to maintain organizational liquidity
• Technical accounting support to operating businesses
• Drive visibility and improvements based on the financial analysis
• Prepared, supervise and conduct annual external audit and statutory financial report.
• Deliver costing reports & any other work assigned by superior
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
• Streamline financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Supporting on a variety of ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications & Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills, Knowledge, Etc)

• Bachelor degree, majored in Accounting/Finance or full professional qualification (e.g. CPA, CMA, CA)
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 8 years in a managerial capacity.
• Prior experience in FMCG, distributions or manufacturing sector strongly preferred.
• Fluent in English is mandatory due to business needs.
• Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
• Having experience of financial software is a must
