Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Service Engineer PMC to be based in Malaysia, supporting customers in India and other Southeast Asia nations including Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos. The role focuses on achieving operational excellence in the pulp and paper industry.

Key duties include mill operation follow-up with customers, troubleshooting, fabric record-keeping in ComPass, inventory management, and supervising fabric installations, with collaboration to drive sales and technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in pulp and paper making or bachelor's degree in mechanical/chemical engineering.
• Fluent English; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office and good teamwork.
• Willing to travel and work at customer premises.
• Experience with pulp/paper mill operations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Follow up mill operations with customer representatives and troubleshoot operation improvements.
• Keep clothing records and save reports in ComPass.
• Monitor inventory and secure stock of fabrics at the mill with customer reps.
• Supervise installation of Valmet fabrics and ensure correct setup.
• Collaborate with sales managers to identify leads and provide technical support.
• Adhere to quality, health, safety, and environmental policies.
