Job summary

Talent Recruit is representing a multinational leader in high-volume production equipment and process solutions for the semiconductor industry, seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer based in Penang, Malaysia. You will provide on-site service and collaborate with customers to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting service activities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Engineering with 4+ years in semiconductor equipment installation/repair.
• Strong electromechanical troubleshooting and process problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff and customers.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%, passport required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, courteous service to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment or process issues on-site.
• Perform on-site preventive maintenance, equipment cleaning and checks.
• Handle start-up, warranty, paid service and contract activities within timelines.
• Report downtime and service activities promptly to management.
• Apply troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime and maintain performance.
• Be available for overtime, short-notice travel and emergencies as needed.
• Maintain equipment logs and service records accurately.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 20% as required.
• Initiate purchase orders for parts and service; support long-term overseas assignments.
• Participate in training and stay updated on company procedures and safety.
