Job summary

Talent Recruit is representing a multinational leader in high-volume production equipment and process solutions for the semiconductor industry, seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer based in Penang, Malaysia. You will provide on-site service and collaborate with customers to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting service activities.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's in Engineering with 4+ years in semiconductor equipment installation/repair.
Strong electromechanical troubleshooting and process problem-solving ability.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff and customers.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%, passport required.

Responsibilities

Provide professional, courteous service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Diagnose and resolve equipment or process issues on-site.
Perform on-site preventive maintenance, equipment cleaning and checks.
Handle start-up, warranty, paid service and contract activities within timelines.
Report downtime and service activities promptly to management.
Apply troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime and maintain performance.
Be available for overtime, short-notice travel and emergencies as needed.
Maintain equipment logs and service records accurately.
Travel domestically and internationally up to 20% as required.
Initiate purchase orders for parts and service; support long-term overseas assignments.
Participate in training and stay updated on company procedures and safety.
