Job summary

Contacthings Solution Sdn Bhd, a Penang-based engineering company, seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, calibrate, and integrate semiconductor equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software issues to minimize downtime and ensure performance.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, providing operator training, generating service reports in CRM/ERP, and collaborating with R&D to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical/electronic engineering, mechatronics or related field.
• 3–5 years hands-on field service or equipment engineering in semiconductor/electronics manufacturing.
• Experience reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&ID diagrams.
• Hands-on motion control, sensors, and robotics experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills in cleanroom environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and integrate semiconductor assembly equipment on-site.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades to maximize productivity.
• Provide customer training and operational guidance.
• Document service activities and spare parts usage in CRM/ERP.
• Collaborate with engineering/R&D to address field issues and improvements.
