About the role

Jipal Hi-Tech Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our growing team in Malaysia. This is a full-time position based on-site in Bangkok, Thailand. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the critical link between our clients and our technical capabilities, providing essential on-site support and maintenance services. This role is strategically important to our business as it directly impacts customer satisfaction, system reliability, and the success of our field operations. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support whilst building strong relationships with our clients and ensuring their equipment operates at peak performance.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission equipment at client sites in accordance with specifications and technical documentation
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of field-based systems and equipment
• Respond promptly to service calls and customer support requests, providing timely solutions to technical issues
• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments to identify system performance issues and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain accurate records of all service visits, maintenance activities, and spare parts usage
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and professional manner
• Collaborate with internal teams to escalation complex technical issues and ensure resolution
• Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and company procedures at all times
• Provide technical training and support to client staff as required
• Manage spare parts inventory and report on equipment needs to support operations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical field support role within the engineering sector
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment, systems, or machinery relevant to the field engineering sector
• Competency in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of complex technical systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in diverse environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and drawings
• Physical capability to perform hands-on technical work and travel to client sites as required
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the Bangkok region and potentially beyond
• Proficiency in English; additional language skills would be advantageous
• Relevant technical certifications or qualifications in engineering disciplines
• Experience with Die Attach, AOI Inspection, Trim & Form, Wafer Mounter; would be preferred.
• Position available for various areas especially Northern (Penang) and Southern (Malacca).
