Job summary

CMGI Sdn Bhd is seeking a Technical Support Engineer in Penang to identify hardware issues, diagnose faults, and provide on-site support and training. You will deploy and configure hardware/software, manage multiple cases per SOP, and contribute to pre/post implementation reporting.

The role requires a Diploma in CS/IT, basic technical support experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Prior at least basic experience in technical support or similar role.
• Attention to details with excellent problem- solving and analytical skills.
• Excellence interpersonal skills, time management and punctual.
• Able to work flexible hours including weekends; willing to travel.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Open for Malaysian only.
• Valid passport for travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify hardware problems, diagnose issues, repair faults, provide software solutions and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Deploy, install and configure hardware and software; provide on-site training and support services.
• Manage multiple cases and activities per SOP; provide pre- and post-activity reports as required.
• Handle deployment, handover, standby, Go Live, and corrective & preventive maintenance on project basis.
• Maintain maintenance stock with daily updates after usage.
• Provide technical support to other teams; resolve issues as needed.
• Escalate per SOP based on SLA requirements; follow project guidelines.
• Set up systems, implement on-site training, and deliver support at customer sites.
• Prepare pre- and post-implementation documentation as applicable.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and submit reports to customer and project coordinator.
