Job summary

BITGIG SDN BHD is seeking a hands-on Resident IT Support Engineer to be based full-time at a customer's site in Penang Island. The role provides Level 1 end-user support, troubleshoots hardware, software and basic network issues, and maintains IT assets and inventory.

You will coordinate with external vendors or Level 2 teams for escalations, set up user accounts, and log incidents while ensuring uptime across Windows environments and common business apps. Weekend rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• Certificate/diploma/degree in IT or related field preferred.
• 2+ years in IT support, helpdesk, MIS or similar role preferred.
• Good working knowledge of hardware, Windows OS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 IT support to end users at the customer site.
• Troubleshoot basic network issues (LAN, Wi-Fi, internet).
• Support desktops, laptops, printers and IT peripherals.
• Install, configure and maintain Windows OS and business apps.
• Set up user accounts and system access for new users.
• Elevate complex cases to vendors or Level 2 teams.
