Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Facilities Engineer to manage day-to-day building engineering and facilities operations at MITEC (Kompleks). You will supervise preventive and corrective maintenance across M&E systems and coordinate with technicians and service providers to ensure timely completion of works.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Facilities Management, with 2–4 years’ experience in large facilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, M&E or similar.
• Experience in commercial buildings, convention centres, malls, hotels or large facilities is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor day-to-day building engineering and facilities operations.
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities for M&E systems.
• Coordinate with technicians, contractors and service providers to ensure timely completion of works.
• Monitor building systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and other critical facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure equipment and facilities are maintained in good working condition.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety, quality and statutory requirements.
• Maintain maintenance records, reports, checklists and relevant documentation.
• Support energy management, improvement initiatives and facility-related projects.
• Assist the Facilities Manager in ensuring smooth operations and service delivery at site.

• Experience in commercial buildings, convention centres, malls, hotels or large facilities is an advantage.
• Good understanding of building M&E systems and maintenance practices.
• Strong coordination, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and manage site operational requirements.
• Willing to work on-site at MITEC (Kompleks) and support operational requirements when required.
