Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Facilities Engineer (Shift) to supervise preventive maintenance on M&E systems and ensure continuous service at our site in Malaysia. The role requires overseeing critical M&E facilities and coordinating with supervisors, with a focus on fault containment and adherence to site processes.

Candidates with ACMV, electrical or fire systems experience are preferred. The position offers full-time employment with 24x7 rotating shifts and benefits including health

Qualifications

• 2 years facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in M&E facilities or ACMV/electrical/fire systems preferred.
• Able to perform impact assessment and contain faults.
• Willing to work flexible 24x7 rotating shifts.
• Prepare and review SOPs, MOPs and EOPs.
• Carry out routine site duties and monitor equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preventive maintenance on M&E systems.
• Escalate incidents per process.
• Review SOPs, MOPs and EOPs.
• Perform minor repairs and routine site tasks.
• Monitor equipment and report daily conditions.
• Support supervisor with proposals for improvements.

• Good understanding of M&E infrastructure.
• Supervise preventive maintenance activities and ad-hoc works orders on mechanical, electrical and other installed M&E systems and ensure timely and quality work.
• Experience working in critical M&E facilities or experience in ACMV, electrical or fire systems will be an advantage.
• Able to carry out impact assessment during system fault and technically sound to contain fault to ensure M&E system service continuity.
• Ensure proper escalation in accordance to incident escalation process.
• Carry out work in accordance to site processes and requirements.
• Proactively look out for site abnormalities and possible areas of improvement, recommend solutions and put up proposal to Supervisor.
• Able to prepare and review SOPs, MOPs and EOPs.
• General facilities duties, including monitoring of equipment and report on daily condition.
• Occasionally perform simple repair work such as lamp replacement or door repair.
• Any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
• Flexible with 24x7 rotating shifts.

*Disclosure: Facilities Engineer (Shift) fall under the “non-workman” category of regulations, where less than 50% of their work includes manual labour. Most of their job scopes include supervisory and paper works at customer site.
