Cofreth Malaysia is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain M&E systems across buildings, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. A Diploma in HVAC/ME and at least 2 years’ building maintenance experience are required, along with strong customer service and communication skills.
You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, supervise subcontractors, ensure safety/SOP compliance, and document daily activities in the Facilities Management System.

Certificate or Diploma in Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field from a technical institute, vocational school or polytechnic.
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in building maintenance, preferably in high-rise buildings or shopping malls.
Hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical or mechanical systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience, will be an added advantage.
Strong customer service orientation with good interpersonal skills for internal and external interactions.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair works for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems within buildings, including HVAC, electrical systems, fire protection systems, plumbing, and minor civil works.
Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrading of M&E systems across buildings, plants, premises, and properties.
Diagnose technical issues, evaluate system performance, and recommend improvements to enhance maintenance efficiency and cost savings.
Perform all tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure daily activities are accurately recorded in the Facilities Management System.
Monitor and supervise subcontractors’ work to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and quality standards.
Demonstrate competent knowledge in the proper use, handling, and maintenance of tools and equipment related to facilities and grounds maintenance.
Respond promptly to emergency situations, system breakdowns, and customer complaints.
Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
Inspect new installations to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Operate and maintain systems in strict accordance with safety requirements and safe work practices.
Perform welding and minor carpentry works when required.
Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and company policies related to building operations.
Any other duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.
