Job summary

IGB Berhad in Georgetown, Penang is seeking an IT Executive to provide general IT support across the IGB Group and office environments. You will maintain CCTV, parking, LPR, computers, servers, and network infrastructure while ensuring uptime.

Responsibilities include monitoring Hyper-V/VMs, firewalls, backups, and remote support, plus daily health checks via Zabbix. The role requires a diploma/degree in IT and a willingness to work shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in information technology or related field.
• Basic knowledge of hardware, servers, networking and IT administration.
• Familiar with Windows OS/Office and standard IT support tools.
• Certifications like CompTIA A+/Network+ are a plus.
• Fresh graduates or up to 2 years’ experience.
• Willingness to work shifts and standby after hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide general IT support for IGB Group and office environments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CCTV, parking systems, LPR, computers, servers and network infra.
• Monitor network equipment, switches, servers (Hyper-V/VMs) and firewalls for uptime.
• Serve as primary IT support based in the FCC to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Carry out backup, restoration and remote support to ensure continuity.
• Monitor health of CCTV feeds, parking systems, servers, and data backups.
• Conduct routine system health checks for servers, storage and network monitoring via Zabbix.
• Support site renovation projects with IT hardware setup, switches and vendor coordination.
• Support office hours and shift schedules, including weekends and public holidays.

Job description

Provide general IT support for IGB Group of Companies and office environments.

Perform maintenance and basic troubleshooting for CCTV systems, parking management systems, License Plate Recognition (LPR), computers, servers, and network infrastructure (LAN, WiFi, and fiber connectivity).

Monitor and maintain network equipment, switches, servers (Hyper-V/VMs), and firewalls to ensure maximum uptime.

Serve as primary IT support based in the Fire Control Centre (FCC) to ensure smooth day-to-day operations for site teams.

Carry out backup, restoration, and remote support activities to ensure continuous business and operational continuity.

Monitor the health and performance of CCTV feeds, parking systems, servers, network devices, and data backups.

Conduct routine daily system health checks for servers, storage, and network monitoring via Zabbix.

Support site renovation projects, including IT hardware setup, network switch configuration, and vendor coordination.

Provide support on office-hour and be willing to work on shift schedules (5 working days, 1 day off), including weekends and public holidays.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, networking, and IT system administration.

Familiar with Microsoft Office, Windows OS, Windows Servers, and standard IT support tools.

Certification in CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar is an advantage.

Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience.

Willingness to work on shifts and be on standby after office hours if required.

Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive work attitude.

Good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
