LPB COMSYSLINE AGENCIES SDN BHD in Port Klang, Selangor, is seeking an experienced Custom Declaration Executive for full-time duties in freight forwarding operations. You will manage customs documentation, ensure regulatory compliance and coordinate cargo clearance with port authorities and partners.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of Malaysian regulations, and familiarity with declaration software and port systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding or cargo handling operations.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian customs regulations, procedures and documentation requirements.
• Familiarity with customs declaration software and port management systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and submitting customs declarations and related documentation for import and export shipments.
• Liaising with customs authorities, port operators and other agencies to ensure timely cargo clearance.
• Reviewing shipping documents, invoices, packing lists and bills of lading for accuracy.
• Classifying cargo using HS codes and calculating duties and taxes.
• Ensuring compliance with customs regulations, trade agreements and import/export restrictions.
• Tracking shipment status and providing updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Maintaining accurate records of all customs documentation and shipment information.
• Coordinating with freight forwarders and logistics partners for cargo movement.

About the role

We are seeking experienced Custom Declaration Executives to join LPB COMSYSLINE AGENCIES SDN BHD in Port Klang, Selangor. This is a full-time position within our Freight/Cargo Forwarding operations, a critical function within Transport & Logistics industry. As a Custom Declaration Executive, you will be responsible for managing and processing customs documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and facilitating the smooth clearance of cargo through port authorities. This role is essential to our operations, directly impacting the efficiency of our supply chain and the satisfaction of our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and submitting customs declarations and related documentation for import and export shipments
• Liaising with customs authorities, port operators, and other relevant agencies to ensure timely cargo clearance
• Reviewing shipping documents, invoices, packing lists and bills of lading for accuracy and completeness
• Classifying cargo according to the Harmonised Tariff Code and calculating applicable duties and taxes
• Managing compliance with customs regulations, trade agreements and import/export restrictions
• Tracking shipment status and providing updates to clients and internal stakeholders
• Resolving customs-related issues and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
• Maintaining accurate records of all customs documentation and shipment information
• Communicating with freight forwarders, shipping lines and logistics partners to coordinate cargo movement
• Ensuring adherence to company procedures and industry best practices

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding or cargo handling operations
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian customs regulations, procedures and documentation requirements
• Familiarity with customs declaration software and port management systems
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy under pressure
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and database systems
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and HS codes is highly desirable
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
• Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve documentation issues efficiently
• A professional approach to client service and stakeholder management
