Job summary

MORRISON EXPRESS (M) SDN BHD (SELANGOR) in Malaysia is seeking an Export Operations Coordinator to manage daily export shipments from booking to cargo departure. You will coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, truckers, warehouses, and overseas agents, ensuring timely bookings and vessel schedules.

The role requires 3+ years in domestic transport and freight forwarding, strong English communication, and proficiency in MS Office to prepare documents and reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Transportation or equivalent, or 3–5 years related experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in domestic transportation management, freight forwarding and logistics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based platforms.
• Strong organizational, analytical, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily export shipment operations from booking to cargo departure.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, truckers, warehouses, and overseas agents.
• Arrange bookings and monitor vessel schedules.
• Prepare and verify export shipping documents (BL, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, SI, Export Customs).
• Update customers on shipment status and delays.
• Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory export requirements.
• Coordinate with billing, invoicing and shipment execution with internal teams.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and filing systems.
• Support business growth with excellent customer service and relationships.
• Serve as primary contact for designated customers and shipments.
• Provide weekly and monthly shipment volume reports.

Role & Responsibilities:

Manage daily export shipment operations from booking to cargo departure.

Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, truckers, warehouses, and overseas agents.

Arrange bookings and monitor vessel schedules.

Prepare and verify export shipping documents, including: - Bill of Lading (BL) - Commercial Invoice & Packing List - Shipping Instructions (SI) - Export Customs Documentation

Update customers on shipment status, schedules, and any delays.

Ensure all export documentation complies with customer and regulatory requirements.

Follow up on cargo readiness, customs clearance, and shipping arrangements.

Coordinate with internal departments on billing, invoicing, and shipment execution.

Maintain accurate shipment records and filing systems.

Support business growth by providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Serve as the primary contact person for designated customers regarding shipment arrangements, operational issues, and service inquiries.

Weekly and monthly shipment volume reports.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management from time to time to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

Possess at least Diploma/Bachelor’s degree (Business, Management, Engineering, Transportation, or associate field), or 3-5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent of education and experience.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in domestic transportation management, freight forwarding and logistics (domestic or international freight forwarding).

Excellent computer knowledge, advance Microsoft Office proficiency.

Experience with web-based transportation procurement platforms is preferred.

Excellent organization, analytical, written, and oral communications skills.

Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, while exercising sound judgement.

Ability to think creatively and strategically to solve complex problems.

Must be a confident self-starter who can develop effective business relationships, both internally and externally.

Candidates must be self-motivated, customer service oriented, and eager to ensure the success of the team.

Ability to function independently, with minimal supervision, and thrive within a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
