Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Logistics Executive to manage customs declarations for import and export shipments in Malaysia. You will ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time, coordinating with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal teams.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Logistics or a related field, strong attention to detail, and good communication. Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of SST/import duties are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Customs, Business Administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs declaration forms for import and export shipments.
• Ensure customs documents are complete, accurate, and submitted within required timelines.
• Check commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading/air waybills, permits, and other supporting documents.
• Verify HS codes, customs values, duties, taxes, and applicable customs requirements.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping agents, and internal departments.
• Monitor shipment clearance status and resolve customs-related issues or documentation discrepancies.
• Maintain proper records of customs declarations and supporting documents.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian customs regulations and company procedures.
• Assist in calculating and checking import duties, SST, and other applicable charges.
• Follow up on customs inspections, releases, permits, and shipment clearances.
• Provide updates to customers or relevant departments regarding shipment and clearance status.

Provide updates to customers or relevant departments regarding shipment and clearance status.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Customs, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience in customs declaration, freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics is an advantage.

Familiarity with customs procedures and import/export documentation.

Good attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Able to work under deadlines and handle multiple shipments simultaneously.

Computer literate, particularly Microsoft Excel and logistics/customs systems.
