Job summary

PERSOL is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive growth in Malaysia’s data center and critical infrastructure sector. You will identify opportunities across hyperscalers, colocation operators, consultants, EPCs, contractors, and end users.

You will build strong customer relationships, influence project specifications, and lead the sales pipeline from qualification to award while traveling across Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field as listed in the Requirements.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, application engineering, or solution selling.
• Experience within data centers or related industries is highly preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities across the data center ecosystem.
• Build relationships with customers, industry stakeholders, and channel partners.
• Influence project specifications and promote solution adoption during planning.
• Drive sales pipeline development from qualification through project award.
• Collaborate with partners and internal teams to secure new projects and expand accounts.
• Provide consultative support by understanding technical requirements and recommending solutions.
• Conduct customer presentations, technical discussions, product demonstrations, and workshops.
• Support distributors and channel partners through training and engagement activities.
• Maintain visibility of opportunities, activities, and sales forecasts.
• Gather market intelligence and provide feedback on industry trends and competition.
• Identify emerging market opportunities and contribute to strategic growth in data centers.
• Travel across Malaysia to support meetings and engagements.

Education

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field
