Job summary

Johnson Controls in Malaysia seeks a Sales Manager, Controls to drive BMS and controls technology adoption across the data center ecosystem. You will engage with hyperscalers, operators, EPCs, consultants, and developers to influence design decisions and secure procurement.

You will lead proposals, negotiate terms, and manage a strong pipeline while delivering on annual sales and margin targets, with a consultative, engineering-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years in BMS, Controls, ELV, or mission-critical M&E systems.
• Strong understanding of BMS architecture, HVAC controls, chiller plant sequencing, networked controls, and integration protocols (BACnet/IP, Modbus, OPC, API).
• Experience engaging consultants, EPCs, and DC stakeholders.
• Experience preparing SOO, points lists, wiring diagrams, and tender documents.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive BMS growth in data centers by engaging early with consultants, EPCs and owners, and positioning Johnson Controls cooling solutions in designs.
• Achieve assigned annual sales and gross margin targets.
• Prepare technical proposals, system designs, tenders and quotations.
• Conduct product presentations and solution demonstrations to customers.
• Negotiate commercial terms and secure contracts per company policies.
• Maintain pipeline management and provide accurate sales forecasting.
• Monitor market trends and pricing strategies.
• Support project execution teams during handover and participate in client meetings when required.
