Job summary

Highstar Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Import & Export Coordinator to manage LMW licenses, COO applications, and CoO/MAQIS compliance. You will coordinate import/export for materials, liaise with forwarders, and ensure accurate documentation and HS codes.

The role requires 3–5 years in customs/logistics, with preference for lithium battery/chemical industry exposure; Chinese language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in logistics or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years in customs, logistics or import/export
• Experience with lithium battery or chemical industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of LMW, Customs Act, COO, MAQIS/DOE rules
• Chinese language ability preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage LMW license applications, renewals, amendments
• Prepare & submit Penyata reports (Monthly LMW, Stock Ledger, Raw Material Usage)
• Maintain LMW inventory records
• Prepare COO applications (Form E, Form A, Preferential/Non-Preferential)
• Ensure accurate HS code & product info
• Liaise with MITI for approval
• Prepare SST exemptions when required
• Coordinate import/export for raw materials, chemicals, equipment, parts, finished goods
• Liaise with forwarders for bookings, BL/DO, clearance docs
• Monitor shipment status and resolve customs issues
• Maintain proper filing of all Customs, LMW, COO, import/export documents
• Prepare management compliance reports
• Support process improvement, SOP development
• Assist in uCustoms updates

- Manage LMW license application, renewal, amendments, documentation

- Prepare & submit all Penyata reports (Monthly LMW, Stock Ledger, Raw Material Usage, Material Movement)

- Maintain LMW inventory records

COO (MITI Related)

- Prepare COO applications (Form E, Form A, Preferential/Non-Preferential)

- Ensure accurate HS code & product info

- Liaise with MITI for approval

SST & Duty Exemption (When Applicable)

- Prepare SST exemption when required

- Prepare duty exemption / import tax relief via MIDA when applicable

IMPORT & EXPORT COORDINATION

- Coordinate import/export for raw materials, chemicals (incl. electrolyte), equipment, parts, finished goods

- Liaise with forwarders for bookings, BL/DO, clearance docs

- Monitor shipment status, resolve delays or Customs issues

MATERIAL MOVEMENT & INVENTORY CONTROL

- Maintain LMW inventory records

- Ensure material movement complies with Customs rules & SOP

- Support monthly & annual stock count

GOVERNMENT AGENCY LIAISON

- Liaise with JKDM, MITI, MIDA, MAQIS (electrolyte import), DOE, DOSH/JKKP, and SIRIM (if applicable)

- Ensure compliance to lithium battery import/export requirements

DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING

- Maintain proper filing of all Customs, LMW, COO, import/export documents

- Prepare management compliance reports

Ad-Hoc Tasks

- Support process improvement, SOP development

- Assist in uCustoms updates

QUALIFICATION

Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

- Strong knowledge of LMW, Customs Act, import/export, COO, MAQIS/DOE chemical rules

- Able to use uCustoms / SMK

Working Experience

'- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in customs/logistics/import-export

- Experience with lithium battery or chemical industry preferred

- Strong hands-on LMW experience required

OTHERS (LANGUAGES, TRAINING ETC.)

Preferable: Able to speak & write Chinese
