Job summary

FedEx Malaysia is seeking a Customs Clearance Coordinator to coordinate and manage import and export clearance activities. You will ensure compliance with customs regulations, maintain accurate documentation, and provide exceptional service to our clients.

You will review documents, liaise with customers, freight forwarders and authorities, and stay up to date with regulatory changes to ensure timely and accurate declarations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of customs regulations and trade compliance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and PC.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent planning, organizing, and accuracy.
• Ability to stay updated on regulations.

Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating and managing customs clearance activities for import and export shipments. You will ensure compliance with customs regulations, maintain accurate documentation, and provide exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customs documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, and import/export permits, to ensure accurate declarations before submission to customs authorities.


• Communicate and collaborate with customers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to gather necessary information, resolve inquiries, and address customs-related issues


• Liaise with all regulatory bodies to facilitate the customs clearance process and resolve any issues that may arise


• Stay up to date with changes in customs regulations, trade agreements, and tariff structures to ensure compliance and provide accurate advice to customers


• Ensure accurate and timely submission of customs declarations and maintain proper documentation in compliance with organization policies and regulatory requirements


• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, customer service, and sales teams, to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance processes


• Provide exceptional customer service by proactively addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction

You will be a great fit if you have:

• Secondary education or equivalent (SPM)


• Relevant work experience of at least two (2) years is preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of customs regulations, procedures and trade compliance is preferred but not required


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & PC


• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills


• Proven expertise in planning & organizing, with a strong accuracy & attention to detail
