Job summary

FedEx Malaysia is seeking a Customs Clearance Coordinator in Sepang to manage import/export documentation and ensure regulatory compliance. You will review shipping documents, ensure accurate declarations, and coordinate with customers, freight forwarders and authorities for timely clearance.

Job description

Responsible for coordinating and managing customs clearance activities for import and export shipments. You will ensure compliance with customs regulations, maintain accurate documentation, and provide exceptional customer service to our clients.

Review customs documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, and import/export permits, to ensure accurate declarations before submission to customs authorities.

Communicate and collaborate with customers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to gather necessary information, resolve inquiries, and address customs-related issues

Liaise with all regulatory bodies to facilitate the customs clearance process and resolve any issues that may arise

Stay up to date with changes in customs regulations, trade agreements, and tariff structures to ensure compliance and provide accurate advice to customers

Ensure accurate and timely submission of customs declarations and maintain proper documentation in compliance with organization policies and regulatory requirements

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, customer service, and sales teams, to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance processes

Provide exceptional customer service by proactively addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Secondary education or equivalent (SPM)
• Knowledge of customs regulations, procedures and trade compliance is preferred but not required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & PC
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Proven expertise in planning & organizing, with a strong accuracy & attention to detail
