Reeracoen Recruitment – Damansara, Selangor
【Job Summary】
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Assistant Logistics & Customs Manager to oversee and drive operations across two of our primary freight forwarding and logistics centers in Malaysia. As an integral leader within our established third-party logistics (3PL) organization, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence, ensuring strict compliance with Royal Malaysian Customs Department regulations, and supporting the strategic growth of our supply chain and forwarding business.
In this role, you will lead dynamic, cross-functional logistics teams across two key strategic hubs. Your core responsibility will be ensuring the seamless processing of all import and export customs documentation, managing day-to-day air and sea freight forwarding activities, and cultivating strong relationships with local authorities, port officials, shipping lines, and valued corporate clients. As an Assistant Manager, you will act as a bridge between senior operational leadership and ground teams, providing clear guidance, resolving complex customs clearance bottlenecks, and mentoring team members to achieve top-level productivity and service quality.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in Malaysian customs procedures, backed by a valid KURSUS KETUANAN EJEN KASTAM (KEK) certification, alongside a proven track record of at least five years in hands-on freight forwarding operations. You must possess extensive working knowledge of computerized customs systems—specifically direct declaration submissions via K1, K2, K8, and K9 forms—and a comprehensive understanding of local import/export regulations, duty structures, permits, and trade compliance requirements. Beyond technical mastery, this role demands demonstrated leadership capability. You should be a seasoned supervisor capable of delegating tasks, tracking KPIs, resolving operational escalations, and fostering a collaborative, performance-driven environment across multiple physical locations.
If you thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment, possess exceptional communication skills, and are eager to drive compliance and efficiency across key supply chain hubs, we invite you to take the next step in your career with us.
